17-19 Jul 2023 Orsay (France)

Presentation

The French Speaking Association for Teaching and Research in Pharmacognosy (AFERP) organizes its 6th International Symposium (and its first physical meeting for 3 years), with the support of the iNPChem (international Natural Products Chemistry) network (CNRS) and of the Metabiodivex Consortium (Université Paris-Saclay).

The symposium will take place from the 17th to the 19th of July 2023 in the brand new Faculty of Pharmacy of University Paris-Saclay. University Paris-Saclay is ranked in 16th position for the world and 1st position in Continental Europe, according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities.

The speakers (French and from abroad) will represent various fields of research on natural products of botanical, fungal and bacterial origins, embracing various methodological approaches and sensitivities, from the development of dereplicative methods towards isolation to reasoned apprehension of whole metabolomes, modelization-based structural determination, biosynthetic studies and genomics at the interface with chemistry and chemical biology, chemical ecology, biomimetic synthesis, as well as patrimonial chemistry and toxicology. A large part of conferences will be devoted to innovative analytical approaches with the presentation of recent bio-chemo-informatic tools. Two successive workshops will be proposed, mainly aimed young researchers.

The scientific committee has chosen to give the floor mainly to brilliant young researchers, who are leaders in their fields, proposing breakthrough innovations, fueling fruitful international collaborations with a view to expanding their scientific fields through data sharing and the creation of bridges between disciplines.

AFERP is a French speaking community. The conferences will be held in French or in English.

The deadline for abstract submission is June, 15th.
